When it comes to decorating, I'm all about the 'cheap'. And because I like to change things up a few times a year to give a room a new look and feel the cheaper the better. When it comes to what we hang on our walls and display there are so many unique and diy projects to give your home that new feel for little money. I've collected a few of my favorite finds that I love. Enjoy!
1.) In the above photo from cheapdecorating.com simple movie posters and advertisments framed in black add a nice touch to an entrance wall. The alternatives for this are endless, use different color and sizes of frames to create your own unique look.
Sites like

AllPosters is a great place to search for movie posters and advertisements and there are a selection that are always on sale for as little as $5.99, making it affordable.

3.) Can't draw a straight line? No need to! Any simple pattern drawn on a plain white canvas and painted with acrylic paint, color of your choice, can create a masterpiece for an affordable price. The best thing is you can match the color to your decor. Try painting the canvas all one color then adding a pattern, the possibilities for this simple DYI are endless. For directions click

4.) I don't know about you but I have lot's of empty frames kicking around from broken picture frames and mirrors. Garage sale's are a great place to find frames of shapes and sizes. Line with your favorite black and white photos, children's art or dress up for the holidays. The clothes pins make it easy to change up to whatever you want, and the frame can be hung or leaned on a table. For directions click
